Introduction:

From 1989 to 2012, Peter Friemer shaped the sonic landscapes of numerous prestigious German state and municipal theaters (Staats- und Stadttheater). As a versatile composer and musical director, his work spans across genres—from intense dramatic theater and contemporary dance to vivid musical tales for young audiences. His compositions serve as an emotional and narrative anchor, bridging the gap between dramatic text, scenic movement, and deep atmospheric soundscapes.

“…bringing together various stylistic elements into a wildly liberated crossover that consistently emphasizes experimental and sophisticated accents…”
